This feature is not limited for Change Windows7 users only. You can change the Windows XP login screen with the use of rahulwindows named after the discoverer itself. You just need to download files and extract into Windows Resources folder. Download & extract Windows 7 Default logon files. Navigate to \WINDOWS\Resources and create folder with name Logon. Navigate to WideScreen or Normal Screen and copy the file logonUI.exe to Logon Folder. Copy the .REG files do \WINDOWS\Resources\Logon files and double click. Setup.reg, click in Yes and Ok and Log off, Restart not required.

To restore Windows XP Default’s logon apply restore.reg.

This feature gives you the freedom to select, if updates are downloaded to your computer as well as whether updates are to be installed automatically. For instance, Windows 7 update can be downloaded automatically but not installed till and until you select them to be so.

The Windows 7 Update options available in Windows 7 incorporates:

* Install updates automatically (recommended)
* Download updates but let me choose whether to install them
* Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them
* Never check for updates (not recommended)

Windows Update option in Windows 7 can be configured through the Control Panel using the steps given below:

1. Click Start and click Control Panel.
2. Click System and Security.
3. Click Windows Update.
4. From the list of actions, click Change Settings.

The Internet Explorer 8 adds a button in the Add a Web Slice dialog box for the vintage lamp at the start of the Favorites bar after clicking the Add to Favorites Bar button. Zooming in on a page

This will zoom in on the page. If you will click once then it will zoom up to 125% magnification, and a second click will zoom up to a 150% magnification. You can choose the percentage from the Zoom drop-down menu which is to the immediate left of Safety on the toolbar. The Zoom menu percentage selections has 50%, 75%, 100%, 125%, 150%, 200%, 400% and Custom zoom options. You can also use zoom by clicking the Change Zoom Level button, which is the drop-down button to the immediate right of the 100% button and then you need to click the percentage item from its pop-up menu.

You can press “ctrl+c” or “shift+a” etc as the keyboard now supports multitouch. We also activated key rollover, which means that you can press another key before you finger has lifted off the previous one and this will activate a much more natural typing experience. You need not to worry, if you prefer the sticky modifier-key model, where you press “Ctrl” then press “c”, it is still supported.

Text Prediction

One of our goals on the Tablet PC team is to make it as suited as possible to enter text when using your keyboard is uncomfortable or impractical. To get to this we have made investments in the TIP, we’ve enhanced overall handwriting recognition accuracy and we are heaving some of these same technologies to give Text Prediction on the soft keyboard. Text Prediction gives possible completions for the word being entered and may offer suggestions for next words or phrases.

For instance, if you are trying to input the word “Microsoft” using the US English soft keyboard; after entering the first two letters “Mi”, the word “Microsoft” is proposed as the first option. You can then select the relevant option and have the word “Microsoft” inserted into a document without writing it completely from the keyboard.
