How to troubleshoot software compatibility issues in Windows 7?

Through this article we like to report that, so far, everything is fine. Windows 7 can be installed without hassle. However, if you still face any problem related to software compatibility, try out these tips for fixing these issues.

Software Compatibility Issues

If your program is not working fine with Windows 7, go ahead and try to use the Compatibility Mode feature to fix any compatibility issues.

In order to change the compatibility settings follow these easy steps:

STEP 1. Right click the program setup file and click Properties.

STEP 2. Next, Click on the Compatibility tab.

STEP 3. Now, mark the check box for option ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 7.

STEP 4. Click OK.

STEP 5. Next double-click the application and Run to install it.

Tip: You can configure the applications compatibility to run with settings from Vista or XP. Its been found in some of the cases that people got a known compatibility error while installing a piece of program, but once installed, everything ran just fine.

XP Mode

Windows 7 provides one more tool called XP Mode. XP mode will allow you to run your existing applications on Windows 7 system. Windows XP Mode is an add-on for Windows 7 Professional and higher edition that comes in two parts, each of which has its own setup.

The first is Windows Virtual PC, a new version of Microsoft’s free desktop virtualization platform, and the second is Virtual Windows XP itself, which is a virtual hard drive pre-loaded and licensed with Windows XP Service Pack 3. XP Mode will be available to Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate users.

I CAN CONNECT TO THE INTERNET BUT INTERNET EXPLORA CANT OPEN THE WEB PAGE, ALSO IT SAY WINDOWS CANT DETECT NETWORK PROXY SETTINGS
