If you are facing issues with your Windows 7 PC like wrong registry setting, a faulty driver and a missing system file, you may fix your system by performing a repair, if possible, with Safe Mode. However, if you failed to perform these operations, you have only one option left that is to restore your system from earlier backed up system image.
Follow the given instructions to perform this task:
STEP 1. Reboot your system using the computer’s power button.
STEP 2. Next, continuously press F8 to gain access to the Advanced Boot options of Windows 7. If you see the Windows logo you will need to restart and retry.
STEP 3. Next, choose a keyboard language and click Next.
STEP 4. Type an administrator’s user name and password to start the recovery process.
STEP 5. Inside the Advanced Boot options, select Repair Your Computer and press Enter.
STEP 6. Click on System Image Recovery.
STEP 7. You will be asked to choose your backup media. The default option is to select the last backup. You can change this setting and manually select a different backup media.
STEP 8. Next, you can choose other options like format and repartition the computer’s hard drive, or to automatically scan and repair disk errors.
STEP 9. Click on Finish and Yes when ready to commence with the restore.
STEP 10. The recovery process begins, and a progress bar will display estimate time you need to wait.
STEP 11. When completed, the system will automatically restart, and its ready to use it.
Note: You can also repair your computer with the help a Windows installation DVD or a system repair disk.
