acer windows 7 supportDifferent issues related to failure of hard disk in Acer Windows 7

Windows 7 is the latest operating system from Microsoft. It is a far more advanced and efficient than Windows Vista and Microsoft provides great support for it in Acer systems. Acer laptops use state-of-the-art technology in terms of hard disk components. The different hard disk issues and related supports available are as follows:

Interfacing problem
Slotted connection errors
Printed circuit malfunction
Disk motor and tracking motor damage
Driver’s problems

Interfacing problem
Acer laptops with Windows 7 have many individual components like hard disk, motherboard, processor, etc. which work together to provide all the different features. These devices need to be interfaced with each other perfectly so that they work in a synchronized manner. Any error with these interfacing will lead to different problems with hard disk and require expert attention.

Slotted connection errors
Like all other laptops, Acer laptops with Windows 7 also have slots for different components and devices like hard disk. These slots have multiple pins and points for connections. Problem with these delicate pins and points will render the device like hard disk useless. So, experts in this field are required to check and repair the same.

Printed circuit malfunction
Connections in almost all electronic devices like laptops are done through machine-printed soldiering instead of normal wiring. Acer laptops with Windows 7 also use this technology. These printed soldering are robust but can be a source of problems if mishandled, it can cause connection problems.

Disk motor and tracking motor damage
Every hard drive consists of a disk motor for rotating the disk and lens motor to move the lens back and forth. These motors are heavily dependent on the input voltage and proper interfacing. Fluctuation result in damages like motor burnout. Like all hard drives, the drives of Acer laptops also need proper protection from these power fluctuations.

Driver’s problems
Acer laptops with Windows 7 come with pre-installed device drivers. But these drivers need to be updated regularly for the proper functioning of hardware devices as they are responsible for creating connection with the OS. Updating hard disk driver can be a problem for most users due to the lack of technical know-how.

I have 2 laptops…
Company provided Toshiba with Win 7 Home

My Laptop Acer-one with Win 7 Pro

Ready Boost works on the Win 7 Home Unit
Ready Boost does not work on the Win 7 Pro Unit (which is the one I really need it on).

I’ve used the same USB Drive in either unit.

Any suggestions?
