Microsoft to deliver largest-ever updates on Windows 7

Microsoft has said that it will unveil largest number of security updates to date on October 13 to fix holes in every Windows version. Also, it will send updates for Internet Explorer, MS Office, SQL Server and other important developer tools.
The software giant will ship a total 13 updates – eight of these measured “critical”. The number will beat the last record of 12 updates that was shipped in February 2007 and again the same number was shipped in October last year.
The Microsoft made network file and print sharing protocol that ships with Windows, which is a chinch in Server Message Block 2, was first revealed by Microsoft on September 7. The drawback affects Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and the test releases of Windows 7.
For those who use SQL Server as a back-end for their websites, the update will affect a lot to all of them. The Visual Studio update will be another resolute for the Active Template Library bug that Microsoft introduced in its famous development platform.
In August, Microsoft patched a number of bugs in the Active Template Library on which the company and others rely to create their programs.
Windows 7 will receive five of its first official 13 updates next week.
Although Windows 7 will not be available in retail market and will not be available on new PCs until later this month, some big stores with volume licensing agreements have been able to get Windows 7.
