iYogi Launches Free Microsoft Windows 7 Migration Assistance Programs

iYogi, a provider of on-demand tech services and a Microsoft Certified company, has launched a comprehensive suite of tools and services for users to upgrade or migrate to Microsoft’s new Windows 7 operating system.
According to the company, iYogi’s new free offerings include the Windows 7 Online Readiness Test; the Windows 7 Basic Migration tool; Windows 7 Premium Migration service; and Windows 7 Professional Migration service. In addition, iYogi has built a comprehensive Web site that is a ready reference for anyone migrating to Windows 7 and provides a step-by-step guide to application migration.

Windows 7 Readiness Test is an online application for users to check hardware and software compatibilities, and disk space requirements for upgrading on their current PC.
Windows 7 Basic Migration is a free utility that automates the migration of user data and settings from Windows XP to Windows 7, on their existing or new machines. It guides the users through the process of manually re-installing their favorite applications.
Windows 7 Premium Migration service is said to offer advanced tools for comprehensive migration including transferring you software programs to dramatically reduce time by automatically reinstalling your applications and settings. It offers instant access to Microsoft Certified Experts via chat at anytime. Reportedly the service is offered for $29.99.
Users’ option for Windows 7 Professional Migration service will have assistance from Microsoft Certified Experts who will professionally migrate their data, applications and user settings via remote access for Windows XP and Windows Vista users on their existing or new PC. The service also includes setup and personalization for a new PC. The service is offered at $39.99.
