Windows 7 PC is a Wireless HotspotMicrosoft latest operating system, Windows 7, immediately shows the wireless and other available networks on your computer.

The feature is an improvement over Windows Vista Wireless connection, which gives random spikes and lags every 30 to 60 seconds. Also, Windows Vista Wireless network looks for new access points every 30 to 60 seconds.

This article will show you how to use the wireless network in Windows 7

If you want to use Windows 7 wireless network then you must have a laptop or desktop with wireless card. The wireless card on your laptop and desktop should be free. If you want to share the wireless connection with others then you have to be plugged into a wires connection or have a second wireless card. This won’t work on some networks that have group policies.

STEP 1. Start the wireless network. You need to get into the Network and Sharing Center. You can also quickly get into it using the network icon in the System Tray.

STEP 2. Find the “Set up a new connection or network” link.

STEP 3. In order to share files or internet connection between two computers, you have to choose the ‘Ad Hoc Network’ option.

STEP 4. You have to give a name to your network and choose some security options. The most important option that you must select is to check the box for “Save this network”.

Your ‘Ad Hoc Network’ should be running and ready to start connecting devices to your network. Also you can quickly select this wireless network from the quick-select wireless network list.

The last step is to enable the wireless network so that anyone can connect to ‘Ad Hoc Network’ to use Internet.

To enable the wireless network in Windows 7, click on “Change adapter settings” link which is in the ‘Network and Sharing Center’. Make sure that you only enable the internet sharing on the adapter that is actually connected to the Internet.
