Disable Windows 7 feature which you don’t need

Microsoft’s newest operating system, Windows 7, offers a new feature that allows you to disable or turn off any application you don’t want without any hassle from the Control Panel. It is one of the many important enhancement that Microsoft has introduced in its new OS. You can completely disable programs to your convenience.
Features that can be removed are listed below:
* Windows Media Player
* Windows Media Center
* Windows DVD Maker
* Internet Explorer 8
* Windows Search
* Handwriting Recognition (through the Tablet PC Components option)
* Windows Gadget Platform
* Fax and Scan
* XPS Viewer and Services (including the Virtual Print Driver)
All you need to do is to go to the Control Panel and Click on the Programs link.
Under ‘Programs and Features’, click on ‘Turn Windows Features On or Off’.
In the pop up window that appears, you can disable or turn off several Windows features like Internet Explorer 8, XPS Viewer, Windows Search, Indexing services and an array of other goodies that come with Windows 7.
Hence, you can get rid of unwanted application from your system. Quick launch tool bar is by default disabled in Windows7. However, you can manually enable it. Some useful feature like Windows7 security updates can also be disabled from here if you think its annoying you with pop up alert.
Users get maximum flexibility and choice by disabling features that they do not require. They can manage the things much easily than before. Disabling feature will be available after complete installation of Windows7; users cannot do much during installation and setup. Moreover, re-enabling them will not require original installation DVD.
