Customize your Windows 7 theme

A collection of pictures, sounds and colors is known as a theme. The themes provide the way to improve the visual appearance of your computer’s screen. Sometimes you like the picture in one theme but don’t like its colors. Also, it might happen that you don’t like the picture used in the particular theme but like the colors used in it. There is something that Windows 7 can offer you for this.
The new Windows 7 operating system allows you to customize a theme and apply it to your computer’s screen. You can change the theme in the way you want it and then can save the customized theme for your use or can share it with your friends.
Follow the steps to customize a theme :
STEP 1 : Click on Start button.
STEP 2 : Then, click on the Control Panel. A search box will open.
STEP 3 : Type personalization in the search box. It will open Personalization option.
STEP 4 : Now, click on the theme, you wish to change.
STEP 5 : Then, you can make one or more changes in the background, color of the Window, or sounds of the theme.
STEP 6 : If you want to change the desktop background, then click on option for Desktop Background, then mark the check box for the image which you wish to use. Finally click on Save changes.
STEP 7 : If you want to modify the window border colors, then click on the color you wish to use and click on OK. You can also change the intensity of the color used.
STEP 8 : For changing the theme’s sound, click on Sounds, followed by clicking on an item in the list of sound schemes and finally click on OK.
STEP 9 : You can also add or change the screen savers. For changing it, click on Screen saver, followed by selecting an item in the list of screen savers and then click on OK.
When you are done with this, then the theme which have been modified will appear under My Themes section. But, it will in an unsaved state. You can save it for use your use.
