Want to activate the window in Windows 7 you want to work by displaying it on the top of the others! It’s easy. The Flip and Flip 3-D feature of Windows 7 allows you to activate the window you want. This feature is highly useful when you have opened many windows at the same time.
To use Flip feature, hold down Alt+Tab. Windows 7 exhibits a panel in the middle of the desktop which shows thumbnails of all the open windows in the order in which they were opened. If you want to activate a new window in the panel, press Tab as you hold down the Alt key until the thumbnail of that window is highlighted and its name appear. And to hide the panel display, release the Alt key along with Tab.
If you want to open the panel with thumbnails of all open windows, press the Ctrl key down while holding the Alt and Tab key and this panel with thumbnail remains manifested even after the three keys have been discharged by you. Then you can flip through the panel by moving forward or backward. Once the required thumbnail is highlighted in the panel, press Enter to close the panel and exhibit the chosen window on the desktop.
Flip 3D feature allows you to open windows in 3-D cascading arrangement. To use this feature, press Windows logo key while holding Tab key. Then Windows 7 will exhibit all the open windows in 3-D cascading arrangement. Until the window you want to see is at the front of the stack, you can flip through the cascading thumbnails by continuing to press Tab key. If your mouse has a center wheel, you can flip through the 3-D stack by turning the wheel.
Once the thumbnail of the window you want to access is manifested on the desktop to the front of the 3-D stack, dispense the Windows logo key. Then while manifesting the selected window on the desktop, Windows 7 closes the cascading 3-D stack.
